    Erika Avila Takes Up The Role of Media Director for Mexico


    Untold_, the regional communication ecosystem founded by Darío Straschnoy, has designated Erika Avila as the new person in charge of the office of the group’s new media agency in Mexico. 

    Last June, Untold_ Media launched its operations in Buenos Aires, Bogotá and Mexico City, with recognized professionals specialized in digital strategy, performance, e-commerce, content distribution and media innovation.

    “I’m so delighted with the addition of Erika to the team. I have no doubt that she will make the business grow in a market so important for us,” said Fernando Emilio Silva, Regional Media Director of Untold_. 

    “I’m very excited about this new challenge. I think there are many opportunities to develop in Mexico this new business unit of the ecosystem, which seeks to complement the work being done by the companies of the group in the content, data and strategy areas,” explained Erika. 

    With almost 20 years of experience, Erika has been part of the teams of the most important media agencies, working for clients such as Cervecería Cuauhtémoc Moctezuma, L’Oréal, Promeco, Nextel, McDonald’s, Chrysler, Nissan, Mercado Libre, Mabe, Renault, Mitsubishi and Kimberly Clark, among others. She spent almost 13 at Omnicom Media Group (OMD), where she was VP of Client Services and was in charge of account management at the local, regional and global levels. She’s also spent some time at Initiative, where her role of Media Director was focused also on new business, and at Starcom MediaVest Group, as Media Manager.

    This executive holds a bachelor’s degree in Advertising and Marketing from the Centro de Estudios de Ciencias de la Comunicación (CECC) and a master’s degree in Media Strategic Planning from the Universidad Anahuac.
